■ Jam Detection Outline ● Delivery Delay Jam
There are 3 cases of delivery delay jam detection.
● Overview A. No preceding sheet
The following sensors are installed to detect absence/presence of papers and whether papers B. Preceding sheet exists 1 – short paper interval with the preceding sheet
are correctly fed. C. Preceding sheet exists 2 – long paper interval with the preceding sheet

When the Fixing Delivery Sensor (PS701) cannot detect presence of paper within 1490 (2234)
msec. after the Paper Leading Edge Sensor (PS751) detects the paper, it is judged as a
delivery delay jam.

Jam detection timing may differ for 400 dpi and 600 dpi printing. In such a case, setting
values applicable to 600 dpi printing are indicated in parentheses following those for
400 dpi printing.
