Outline of the Library Staff Development Program
A Staff Development Plan (SDP) is prepared to ensure that staff’s professional and personal
skills will be enhanced and to ensure funding for staff development. The Staff Development Plan’s
format was devised by the university which indicates the following:

As indicated in the Library Operations Manual, each staff is encouraged to participate in
professional development activities and whenever possible, the library will send at least one (1)
staff member to at least one (1) national or regional conference per year.
