INJURIES & EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
ALLERGIES & MEDICATIONS
• Medications must be kept in a locked box.
• Locked box must be kept in a central location that is easily accessible.
• A camper list of allergies must be printed out and kept with the lock box and on the staff member in charge of the group of the camper.
• Parent/Guardian MUST fill out an Authorization to Dispense Medication Form.
EPI PEN & INHALERS
• Should be kept with the staff member overseeing the camp group of the camper in question
• Should not be accessible to any other campers
• If two can be provided for back-up purposes, the second one should be kept in the medication lock box.
• Staff member MUST fill out a Medication Transfer Sheet when accepting or releasing medications from their care.
ON CALL HEALTH SUPERVISOR
• Healthcare policies reviewed by licensed health-care provider every three years.
• A licensed healthcare provider is available during camp operation for Camp Director to communicate with as medical situations arise.
