Story writing competition
WCB Research Foundation, in association with Vadodara Wildlife Division
and other partners, organized the Stay Home Challenge during COVID
Lockdown: "A Story Writing Competition on Sloth Bear”. People of
different age groups and from different sectors have participated and
written stories about sloth bears. The basic idea behind this competition
was to appreciate the knowledge of people about sloth bears and
understand their views on sloth bear conservation.

Webinar series
During the pandemic lockdown, we
organized a live lecture series on “Bears of
India” from May 10 to 14, 2020. In which,
we invited the Co-Chair of the IUCN Bear
Specialist Group, Dr. Dave Garshelis, to
inaugurate the webinar series and deliver a
talk on "Bears of the World and
Conservation Challenges", which was
followed by one talk on each bear species
of India by respective experts.
