Training 1 (August 17-19, 2020)

“A Field based training on Camera Trapping, Population Estimation & Rescue of
Sloth bear”: A total 40 forest staff, including Range Forest Officers, Round
Foresters and the Beat Guards from central Gujarat, have participated in the
training for three days and had hands-on practice. Topics like camera trapping,
data collection from camera traps and vegetation surveys, bear population
monitoring, dealing with wildlife crime and wildlife rescue and immobilization
were included in the training, and forest staff obediently participated in all the
field sessions and were actively present in the lecture sessions.
