Training 3 (February 25-28, 2023)
“Field-Based Training on Contemporary Techniques for Research and
Monitoring of Bears & Habitat”: A total of 37 participants, out of which 24 were
research students from the different states of India and 13 frontline forest staff
of the Gujarat Forest Department, participated in the training program. Experts
from various universities, forest departments, and collaborators across the
country took lectures and hands-on training on techniques used for habitat
evaluation, sign survey, scat analysis, demonstration of camera traps, and
placing them on the field.
