             3. Monitoring

 1. Evaluation Monitoring of community education and outreach is important for tracking
There is a need to evaluate the project outcomes in terms of community progress, identifying challenges, ensuring accountability, encouraging
education and outreach to understand the effectiveness of the awareness transparency and facilitating continuous improvement. Monitoring helps to
done. Evaluation helps to identify areas where the education and outreach track the progress of the education and outreach programme over time. By
programme can be improved. We are planning to collect feedback from collecting data on participation rates, outcomes achieved, and other indicators
participants and analyze data, so that we can identify what is working well and of progress, we can track how the mass awareness programme is performing
what could be done better. The evaluation will also help us to determine and make adjustments as needed.

outcomes, we can determine whether the programme is making a difference
in the community. We can also demonstrate that the resources are used
effectively and efficiently and help to ensure that we are accountable to the © Shalu Mesaria © Pratik Desai
community and to our supporters and funders. By reflecting on what worked
well and what didn't, we can improve our skills and knowledge for future
programmes. Similarly, the community can learn from the programmes and
apply what they have learned to their own lives.

 2. Extension
We are intended to extend our project in other sloth bear habitats in the state
to reach new audiences, building relationships, encouraging sustainability and
creating a culture of learning. Extending the reach of such programmes helps
to sustain the impact and continue to engage with the community and provide

resources and support. We hope that we can help to reinforce the behavior
changes and other outcomes achieved through the programme. We have
identified the new areas and new group of community to engage with, and
broaden the reach of the programme to make a greater impact towards the
conservation of sloth bear and saving the lives of people living in sloth bear
habitats. We are sure that such programmes will help to build and strengthen
relationships with the community and enhance the capacity of forest field staff
as well as the young aspirants to study and research on bears. Our extension
programmes in other sloth bear landscape will build a long-term commitment
to the community, encourage sustainability of the programmes by fostering
ownership and engagement among community members. During this
extension programme, we will be involving the community in the design and
implementation of the programme, to build a sense of ownership and
encourage community members to take an active role in sloth bear
conservation. We would like to extend this project in the north and northeast © Vaidehi Shah
