2014 MAY SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Joel After a long winter, it is always so nice to see the older children enjoying a little fresh air once again. It is especially fun to see toddlers like Joel and Tate, who were upstairs in the baby rooms during last year’s outdoor season. This is a new adventure! Once the children headed out to the garden, Joel could hardly decide what to do first. Heartbridge Manager Cindy said he ran about, trying every activity. He had a bit of trouble negotiating the steps up the slide, but a group of volunteers was there to assist. Then it was off to the swing, the toy car, the trike, a ride in a stroller, and on and on. It was the perfect morning, no doubt followed by a long nap.  The big news on Joel this month is that his file should be showing up at an adoption agency in the US any day now. Email adoption@lwbmail.com for more info! And then there is Tate. It’s hard to tell who was having more fun, Joel or “Tater-Tot!” Since Tate just recently started taking his first steps, his goal for the day was to stay upright in the bouncy bed. Of course every time another child jiggled, Tate got bounced right off his feet, but he took it all in stride. Now you may be looking at this handsome boy, wondering about his outfit. Isn’t a floral ascot a bit formal for the bouncy bed? The nannies were all joking with Cindy about it, saying it made him look like such a gentleman. In truth, Tate is one juicy little boy, and such a heavy drooler that they have taken to putting him in TWO bibs. Beneath the jacket and daisies: Bib number two in a nice absorbent terrycloth. Tate has had another wonderfully healthy month, and he is Tate ready for discharge when his bed is needed. We are still hoping for word that he has been chosen for adoption!
