What you need to discuss with the parent in advance
1. They will need to provide a table or other clear working surface and two chairs (if possible)
2. They must provide you with a list of the children’s names prior to the party. The party coordinator will do their best to get this to you however if you haven’t received it by the time you phone you will need to ask for it from the parent yourself.
3. Let the parents know that the tattoos can last for days, but they can also be removed instantly with baby or olive oil.
What to do
Please see the instructional video and the instructions included with your glitter tattoo packs for how to apply. It is REALLY easy! Make sure you practice applying three of the tattoos out on yourself/your friends before your first glitter tattoo party booking. Below are some tips to make applying glitter tattoos quick, effective and low maintenance!
1. Before the party, group your stencils into ‘boys’ and ‘girls’.
2. When you’re setting up please use the tablecloth provided as the glitter tends to
go everywhere and it provides a professional setting. It is waterproof and washable. Make sure you have everything set up neatly with the lids off the glitter pots ready to use. Don’t display more than 15 stencils at once as otherwise it will take the children too long to choose one. For smaller parties you can match the stencils to the type of party you are doing i.e. skull and cross bones and pirate ships for pirate parties.
3. Before you start (and as children approach you), tell the children that everyone will get a ‘sparkly’ tattoo and that you will call them when it’s their special turn to have one applied. This will avoid a messy queue! You should also tell them which colours you have available to get them excited about choosing their favourite colour and to speed up the process.
