Page 5 - Pyjama Superheroes
P. 5
“Now I’m going to be the baddie and chase you and see how many PJ Masks I can catch!” Chase the children as you sing the final verse.
Romeo is chasing...
Ask the birthday boy/girl if they would like to be the next Romeo. If they say no, choose someone with their hand up who managed to escape you. Remind the next Romeo that when you sing “Romeo is chasing” they must catch as many PJ Masks as possible. Repeat and then choose a child who “managed to escape” to be the next Romeo (otherwise they’ll all just be caught on purpose). Repeat as many times as necessary (for example if there is no pass the parcel and/or not many children you may get through the activities quickly and so extend this one, or if you are running behind you could perform the activity just two or three times).
11. PASS THE PARCEL: ‘Mighty Little Gekko’ and ‘The Bravest Cat’ performed by PJ Masks NB: You will probably need to play both songs as they are very short.
Make it clear to the children before you play the game that “everybody gets a turn.” Play the tracks and the children pass the parcel around in a circle. When you pause the music, the child holding the parcel opens a layer and keeps the gift inside. Use a remote control to pause the music so you can help the younger children pass the parcel and open it when it is their turn. The children can eat their treat, put it in their pocket or give it to an adult to mind so that it does not distract them from the rest of the party.
NB: Make sure to check the party entertainer guidelines for instructions on making the parcel and for maximum spending amounts.
12. ACTIONGAME:‘PJMasks’
Catboy = run really fast on the spot as you say “super speed”!
Owlette = open your arms like wings as you say “glide”!
Gekko = flex your muscles as you say “Gekko muscles”!
PJ Robot = do the ‘robot’ dance and say “I am a robot” in a robot voice Night Ninja = do a ninja chop as you say “hiiii ya” in a silly voice
a) “To be like PJ Masks you have to be very clever so now we’re going to play a game to see how strong and clever your brains are today. Every time I say ‘Catboy’ you have to remember to say ‘super speed!’.” Demonstrate the action listed above as you make the words. Then, you say “Catboy” and the children run on the spot as they say ”super speed!“ Practice several times.
b) One by one add in the rest of the characters listed above. Make sure to mix up the order in which you are saying the character names as you teach the game.
c) At first, do all the actions and sounds with the children.
d) When they have got the hang of it, you tell them you are now watching to see if they can be
really clever and remember all of the sounds and actions without your help.
e) Lots of energy!

“PJ Masks are very strong and brave so I’m going to teach you a dance that will make you very strong and brave just like them! But first I’m going to give you all a superhero cape to wear!”
Give each child a superhero cape (coloured scarf) to wear. Encourage the adults present to help you assist any children that need help tying their scarf around their shoulders. Play the track and perform the dance as in the video.
14. GIVETHEBIRTHDAYCARD:‘HappyBirthday’byTraditional
Give the birthday boy/girl their card, read it aloud and sing the traditional ‘Happy Birthday’ song acapella.
15. BUBBLES:‘ThemeFromPJMasks’performedbyPJMasks
NB: You may need to play this song twice as it’s very short.
Play the song and use your bubble machine to create lots of bubbles for the children to pop. You should dance as you do this.
16. PRIZES:‘PJMasksWillSavetheDay’performedbyPJMasks NB: You may need to play this song twice as it’s very short.
