EDUCATIONAL Aims
PSED (MR)
The children and teacher play with matching items (coloured scarves) and mimic each other in a cooperative game play
PD (MH)
To develop fine motor skills by gripping onto the scarf and manipulative skills by moving the scarf around like a propeller, to use music to stimulate exploration with rhythmic movements and to negotiate the space by adjusting speed and direction to avoid obstacles
CL (LA)
To encourage listening and attention through the use of props
M (SSM)
To use the body to explore shape through music and dance
EAD (MM)
To feel scarves and to move rhythmically
EAD (BI)
To pretend to be helicopters
Dance aims
Control & Coordination
To move forwards, backwards and sideways with coordination and control
Motor Skills
To develop fine motor skills by gripping onto the scarf, manipulative skills by moving the scarf around like a propeller and locomotor skills by moving around the room in a range of ways
