“To be like real fairies and pirates you have to be very clever so now we’re going to play a game to see how strong and clever your brains are today. Every time I say ‘pirate’ you have to remember to say ‘Arghhh!’.” Demonstrate the action listed above as you say the words. Then, you say “pirate” and the children make hook arms as they say “Arghhh!“ Practise several times.
One by one add in the rest of the characters listed above. Make sure to mix up the order in which you are saying the character names as you teach the game.
At first, do all the actions and sounds/words with the children.
When they have got the hang of it, you tell them you are now watching to see if they can be really clever and remember all of the sounds and actions without your help.

14. GIVE THE BIRTHDAY CARD: ‘Happy Birthday’ by Traditional
Give the birthday boy/girl their card, read it aloud and sing the traditional ‘Happy Birthday’ song acapella.
15. BUBBLES: ‘Happy’ written and performed by Pharrell Williams
Play the song and use your bubble machine to create lots of bubbles for the children to pop. You should dance as you do this.
16. PRIZES: ‘A Greater Treasure Than a Friend’ performed by Savannah Outen
Play the track and give each child some magic sparkles and a Haribo treat. Once you’ve packed up remember to ask the parents if you can put a party flyer in each of the party bags and if you can have a photo with the birthday child (if photo consent given on the booking form).

“It’s time for you to learn my favourite fairy dance.” Hand each child a fairy wand or a pirate sword and practise the tricky moves. Play the track and perform the dance as in the video.
