8. Working with Props: ‘I Know How to Brush My Teeth’ written by Unknown
The children are sitting in a circle. Say the rhyme and perform the actions with the “imaginary parachute”.
I know how to brush my teeth, (move parachute from side to side)
I brush on top and underneath. (lift parachute up then down)
Up like a rocket, (stand up and lift up parachute)
Down like a plane, (crouch down and hold parachute against the floor)
Back and forth like a choo-choo train. (move parachute forwards and backwards)
Repeat twice using the real parachute. Then place the tooth fairy doll on top and repeat two more times. Put the fairy back in your sparkly magic bag and invite children to hide underneath the parachute in groups of three and repeat until all the children have had a turn.
