INTRODUCTION
Aim and objectives for the project
The trust that is awarded to those responsible for the design and construction
of our homes is something most do blindly. When purchasing a car for example,
the fuel economy and safety ratings are things which are easily understood
and communicated. But why is it with our homes, poor thermal performance
and questionable indoor air quality, are two things which many code compliant
homes are harbouring within.
The following research report plans
to unpack the reasoning behind why
condensation and mould accumulation of AUSTRALIAN

A multi-faceted approach to the
research was conducted involving a
review of existing literature to gain an
understanding of the industry stand-
point. This was combined with data
mining and interviewing, aiming to
validate the findings from the literature
review from an industry perspective as
well as understanding the occupant's
standpoint and behaviours.
Through combining the results, a
residential housing solution will be
