• Ajaklah peserta didik memperhatikan isi halaman tersebut, dengan menanyakan
beberapa pertanyaan pengarah, yang diperlukan agar peserta didik berpartisipasi
aktif untuk memahami gambar.
- The title of this chaper is ... (tunggu sampai peserta didik menyebutkan) ...
‘Good morning. How are you? Good morning is ... what is good morning?
Good morning is ... I often say Good morning to you. What is good morning?
Good morning itu apa? ... Right, selamat pagi.
- Then, “How are you?” I often ask you ... How are you?. What do you say
to answer me? ... How are you, everybody? ... How are you, Ihsan? ...
Fine. Good. Fine. What is How are you? In bahasa Indonesia? ... Right,
Bagaimana kabarmu? ... Jawabnya, ... Baik. In English? Fine. That’s when
we meet in the morning.

- When we leave one another in the afternoon after school, what should you
say? What should you say when you leave one another, when you ... berpisah
with your friends, what should you do? Right ... berpamitan. You should say
goodbye.

- What should you say to somebody who helps you? ... Who does something
good to you? ... What should you say to your friend who lends you his or her
pen? ... Right. We should ... berterima kasih. We should say “thank you”. We
should thank him or her.
- Finally, what should you say after you make a mistake? After you hurt
someone’s feeling. ... What should you say to your teacher when you are
late? ... when you have not done your homework? ... When you ... membuat
kesalahan, what should you say? ... Right. You should say sorry.

Sebutkan setiap kalimat secara jelas, jangan terlalu cepat, dan berulang-ulang,
terutama ketika mengucapkan kata-kata penting yang terkait. Seperti contoh
di atas, berikan jeda untuk memberi kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk
berpartisipasi.

• Setelah itu guru dapat langsung menyebutkan tujuan pembelajaran dalam bab
ini. Misalnya,

- Look, everybody. It is written here that we are going to learn to ... (peserta
didik diminta untuk membaca bersama guru tujuan yang tertera di halaman
tersebut) ...to greet, menyapa, to take leave ... berpamitan, to say thank
you, berterima kasih, and ... to say sorry, ... minta maaf.
- Why do we need to do them?
- Why do we need to ... greet? To ... (peserta didik diminta untuk membaca
bersama guru tujuan yang tertera di halaman tersebut) ... in order to to keep
good personal relationships.
- Dan sebagainya.
