Marie Dobson - Consultant - Biography
Marie has over 15 years’ experience within the manufacturing, food & beverage and construction industries as H&S manager and as a professional H&S consultant, specialising in machine safety compliance; and CDM Regulations (2015 duties); including acting in the role of principal designer.
Marie’s various roles as; a manager, consultant and machine safety assessor, include exposure to the following industries: dairy, food and beverage industry, manufacturers of snacks, crisps, pet food, along with manufacturers of; flooring, mattresses, steel, cooking appliances and more.
Marie is fully conversant with the role of duty holders under the CDM 2015 Regulations, including principal designer, designers and principle contractors.
During this time, Marie has developed both her technical and managerial skills, whilst undertaking numerous successful health and safety projects including:

Marie’s achievements to date demonstrate her ability to work in different challenging environments, along with her knowledge and experience she has:

Providing clients with H&S support to suit their needs and requirements to ensure that they are legally compliant. This ranges from writing H&S; policies, risk assessments, accreditation applications to improve their complete internal health and safety management systems.
Machine safety compliance, carrying out PUWER assessments and CE marking, to ensure clients are complaint with the Machine Directive (EN), British Machine Safety Standards and UK regulations.
CDM construction support, such as principal designer, principal contractor, CDM advisor, and
management of health and safety on various client accounts. Involved in the planning of jobs, writing Construction Phase Plans (CPP's), site fire safety plans, and setting up Safety Management System's (SMS's) on site.
Providing solutions for; risk, health and safety for various clients in the; engineering, construction, textile, manufacturing, food & beverage industries.
Supporting organisations in completing the H&S section in pre-qualification questionnaires for tender
applications.
Strong communication skills to both internal & external customers along with a proven ability to liaise and build strong relationships with clients.
Marie is an outstanding professional and endeavors to deliver above and beyond at all times. Providing clients with health and safety support to suit their needs and requirements; to ensure that they are legally compliant. This range from writing health and safety; policies, risk assessments and accreditation applications; to improve their complete internal Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS).
