Andrew Ellwood - Consultant - Biography
Andrew has over 12 years' experience in the food and beverage industry (Kellogg’s) and chemical sites as contract engineer and site manager.
Andrews roles as a consultant include CDM site manager, within industries including dairy, food and beverage industry and include soft drinks and alcoholics beverages, manufacturers of snacks, crisps, pet food.
Andrew has undertaken a number of projects which include refurbishment and relocation projects in addition to new equipment installations.
Andrew is fully conversant with the role of duty holders under the CDM 2015 Regulations including principal designer and designers.
During this time, he developed both his technical and managerial skills, whilst undertaking numerous successful health and safety projects including:
◆ Providing H&S advice to multinational clients and contractors.
◆ Principal Contractor (including preparation of Construction Phase Plans [CPP's]) ◆ Principle designer.
◆ Site management CDM.
◆ Writing/reviewing RAMS.
◆ Conducting PUWER assessments.
◆ Conducting PUWER; Inspection Prioritisation and Planning Assessments.
Andrews achievements to date demonstrate his ability to work in different challenging environments, along with his knowledge and experience he has:
◆ Strong communication skills to both internal & external customers along with a proven ability to liaise and build strong relationships with clients.
◆ Andrew recently managed a project in Holland, successfully managing challenging situations including company/contactor politics, language barriers and extreme weather conditions; with great success.
◆ Andrew is a levelheaded pragmatic safety professional, always ready to assist to get the project completed on time and safely.
