Chris Gibson - Project Manager - Biography
Chris Gibson has over 30 years’ in Site and Project Management and Site Safety under SMSTS Scheme.
Chris has managed Health and Safety Systems for multiple clients and participated in the development of Departmental Health and Safety Policies and Site Audits.
Chris furthered his in interest in Health and Safety acquiring NEBOSH Construction Certificate in 2012, NEBOSH General Certificate in 2013 and NEBOSH Fire Risk in 2016.
Chris developed expanded H&S Services in 2012 specializing specifically in Construction Health and Safety. Offering advice and Safety Audit Services.
Chris undertook PTTLLS level 4 course in order to better understand training needs and techniques and to impart H&S Advice and training in a structured way.
During his time as a Project Manager, Chris has successfully completed numerous projects including:
◆ Offering specialist advice to bespoke, one off project such as Blackpool Tower repair and regeneration, Blackpool Middle pier and Eastbourne Pier.
◆ Developed, Implemented and monitored safe systems of work, to deal with specialist regulations / Risks such as DSEAR Regulations, Working at Height and Working over Water.
◆ Monitoring of Accident and near miss reports, reviewing safe systems of work and implementing findings. ◆ Development of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work, liaising & working with internal parties &
external agencies such as HSE.
◆ Working in Liaison with Crane lift supervisors with regard to specialist Lift and cutting operations.
Chris’s’ construction industry experience for both Project Management and H&S services includes
Large Industrial Sheds (MFI, Wickes, Focus etc.), Educational Establishments (North Herts College, Carter and Carter), Grade 1 listed buildings (Blackpool Tower) and specialist works for Travis Perkins Group – Blaydon Quayside works.
With Chris’s experience of planning, running and monitoring projects, Health and Safety is always planned into the project from feasibility and so is considered, included for in costs and strictly implemented. This also means that any changes can be implemented with the minimum of fuss.
◆ Chris has strong communication skills, is able to absorb detailed information, and communicate thoroughly with all levels of an organization.
◆ Strong managerial, analytical and organization skills, along with the ability to develop and implement a practical and logical approach that works with the project flow.

◆ Chris is personable and is happy to be part of a team but equally happy to lead a team when required.
