Anthony Roy - Consultant & Instructor - Biography
Tony Roy has over 25 years’ experience as a health and safety professional and comes from both a construction and manufacturing background.
Tony started his career in health and safety in 1994, as a safety advisor in a large international factory local to where he lives. In 2001 Tony moved to Toyota where he was part of the safety team, subsequently moving into a health and safety consultancy and training role.
During this time, he developed both his technical and managerial skills, whilst undertaking numerous successful health and safety projects including:
◆ Implementing a safety system and training the staff at the London Eye.
◆ Writing a safety system for Chesterfield Borough Council and seeing it through to ‘roll out’.
◆ Senior health and safety advisor regarding the energy from waste power stations.
◆
year with Tony in the role of senior trainer.
◆ Investigating accidents on behalf of the HSE, attending court and follow up reporting and
implementation of the subsequent safety plan.
Since 2004 Tony has been a full-time health and safety advisor and consultant, which has taken him all over Europe. Tony prides himself on his realistic and proactive approach to health and safety.
Coming from a construction and manufacturing background, Tony has worked for; ITV, KPMG, CNIM, Bovis, Skanksa, Carillion, Lace Market Properties, Costain, Toyota, Toray Textiles.
Tony’s achievements to date demonstrate his ability to work in different challenging environments, along with his knowledge and experience within health and safety he has:
◆ Strong communication skills to both internal & external customers along with a proven ability to liaise and build strong relationships with clients.
◆ Leadership capacity. Tony always leads the way with drive and enthusiasm.
◆ Proven team player and can adapt to any working environment.
◆ Ability to demonstrate initiative, driving change and improvements within an organisation.
◆ Extensive proven training skills; including the formulation, development and presentation of training
packages.
