The following morning went like the previ- ous one – at 8.45 a.m. departure to the exhi- bition hall. I had to judge all sizes of wire- haired Teckel at the Insubria Winner Show, an International Dog Show. A total of 73 wire- haired Teckel were entered and 67 of them came to the ring. In total, there were only 141
Teckel of all nine Teckel breeds entered at this show.
Again, we were welcomed in the judges’ lounge near the main honour ring. I was hap- py to see Mrs Moreira waiting for me at the edge of the judges lounge. Judging got under- way, and because my secretary was so e - cient, I finished judging in time. This day I awarded 48 “Excellent”, eight “Very Promis- ing”, five “Very Good”, three “Promising” and one “Good”. One Teckel left the ring without evaluation.
I would like to point out the three Best of Breed – from the Standard Teckel, the dog Ti- ziano del Tocai (owner Allevamento del Tocai), from the Miniature Teckel, the bitch Pink Ma- fia Vitoraz (owner Mr Jan Bušta) and from the Kaninchen Teckel, the bitch Urana vom Mar- gelchopf (owner Mrs Doris Vetsch). All of them stood out with an excellent presenta- tion and their elegant charisma. The MW bitch won second place in the Group IV in the honour ring.
This time judging in the honour ring even lasted until eight in the evening. Soon after, at 8.30 p.m. we took the short trip to the restaurant. It was almost midnight before we got back to our hotel. A very nice and exciting show weekend came to a close. We enjoyed our time with our friends from the ABC; I could judge two very nice and well organized shows and we still fondly remember the won- derful days near Milan. However, we did not get to see Milan this time.
In conclusion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the ABC and Gruppo Ci- nofilo Varesino for the invitation to Malpen- safiere and also to everybody, who looked af- ter us so well, and to everybody, who helped us manage all the work in the show rings. It was truly a fabulous dog event.
