230 PHYSICAL INSERTION DPC SYSTEM
• System/ Installer: Recognised contractor by the PCA.
• Joint cutting: Prevent structural damage.
• Installation: Form a continuous barrier to rising damp.
• Dpc material: site specific.
• Dpc width: To extend the full width of wall and finish:
- Externally: Flush with face of wall.
- Internally: To lap 150 mm (minimum) with dpm.
• Bedding mortar: As section Z21.
- Mix: site specific.
- Pointing: site specific.
• Other requirements: Vertical dpcs: Injection system as clause 220.

• Mortar mix: A type recommended by the chemical injection dpc system
manufacturer to match existing masonry in colour and texture.
- Installation: Fully fill holes. Finish neatly and flush.
• Approval of appearance: Obtain or first few holes before completing the
remainder.

• Sealing holes: Use plastics plugs, colour matched to masonry.
• Installation: Fit securely and neatly.
260 GUARANTEE
• Type: Insured protection. Administered by an independent insurance protection
company.
- Guarantee period from completion of installation (minimum): 10 years.
• Documentation: Provide certificates/ guarantees at completion of installation.
