Sample Express Company Background

Sample Express, Inc., SEI, is a privately held corporation established in 1990 as a marketing support
services firm structured specifically to provide outsourced sample, custom sales and literature
fulfillment services to the chemical industry. SEI’s business is providing Major Chemical Producers
the most swift, accurate, flexible, seamless, transparent and economically viable sample fulfillment
service available.

Located in the West Point Technology Park, 75 miles southwest of Atlanta, in West Point, Georgia,
SEI has expanded from a custom built 10,000 square foot Customer Service Call Center and Sample
Processing Facility to a campus that now encompasses over 50,000 square foot of warehousing,
production, office and shipping systems. There is a separate 8,400 square foot facility that is
Department of Agriculture Licensed for USP/Food Grade and high purity, controlled environment
sample processing and storage.

SEI is the global sample processing center for several major chemical producers, managing their
domestic and international sample order processing, inventorying, shipping, tracking and reporting
of all samples from all of their production sites, customer service centers, laboratories and sales
offices world wide. Customer specific password protected web sites are used to place sample
requests, view inventory data and generate reports.

SEI was the first to offer the industry the highly successful “Sample Sales” program. This service
qualifies customers, captures lost revenue, speeds the turn of sample inventory and often generates
sufficient revenues from existing sample stock to completely offset the customer’s cost of outsourced
services. Many SEI Customers generate a net profit from their sample program via this service.

SEI provides limited production repackaging / downsizing from totes, drums, bags to smaller units
such as pails where the quantity is too small to economically justify a plant production run.

SEI was the first to offer “Off Premise” sample order processing. This service centralizes a customer’s
sample order processing into one cohesive program allowing a standardized control over all sample
shipping locations.

SEI inventories over 10,000 different chemicals products produced by manufacturing plants around
the world, ranging from specialty chemicals to engineered minerals to active pharmaceutical
ingredients. Sample sizes range from ten grams to one ton. The global database system processes
orders, tracks and reports on another 6,600 product names worldwide for a database total of over
16,600 products whose sample orders are managed via SEI.
