P. 20
Dear Mrs. Ranum,
I am sad that we didn’t get to end the year off right, but I am glad for the
times we spend together. You were hands down, the best math teacher in my three
years of middle school.(Don’t tell Mrs. Helbing or Mr. Toaster Strudle[Or however
you spell his name]) Though, this math year hasn’t exactly been the best,(cough
discovery math techbook cough), it was still the most fun, and you made it that
way.
All of the extra things in your class (and you) made math this year so
enjoyable. Though I never got the hang of the Rubix Cube, it was still fun trying
and watching others succeed. The question on the whiteboard was a brilliant idea,
even if some people ruined it in the end. But there is one thing for sure, Math 24
was awesome and I loved the Tuesdays where we actually got to do it. It was fun
sharpening my skills and improving my quick math. To be honest, I was always
terrible at doing math problems quickly, so I have no idea how I was good at Math
24. When I remember, I will try to keep you updated if I pass my best of 70.
Now to talk about the best part, YOU. You were such a fun and dramatic(in a
good way) teacher. You weren’t so over the top distracting and getting off-topic as
some of the other teachers. I’m just sorry you had to deal with some of the more
chaotic kids in our grade level(not naming anyone but you can figure it out pretty
easily). I will think about you in high school and even after that. I hope we can see
each other face to face one day again. Thank you for being so great.
**Sorry if some of my grammar is incorrect. I’m doing this at 11:00 PM and without
my glasses on. Once again, thank you for being an awesome teacher and I will miss
you.
