The light wind with a little chilly of the highlands weather
was blowing on Nguyen's face. In suddenly, he thought of Hoa
Xuan, who was his old girlfriend at the time of his student love.
She was a student of Hung-Duc High school, where was on the
Military catholic church privacy, at the end of Thong-Nhat
boulevard's sidewalk and faced to Mr. Huan's coffee plantation
on another side of Thong-Nhat boulevard.
Hoa Xuan often wore the dark blue dress and white satin
trousers to go to school. Since her perfect skin color became
attractive, her long black hair was under her wide leaves hat and
covered her shoulder. They became an ornament to her beautiful
face with her brown eyes, straight nose, and heart-shaped lips.
Hoa Xuan always had a little smile, pulled down her hat by her
right hand to cover her half right face while she was walking
toward Nguyen after she saw him sitting on the chair under the
shadow of large foot tree to waiting for her. Nguyen had habit
sat on a chair to wait for his lover in the public park, and a short
distance from the front gate of the Old Bao-Dai imperial area.
Nguyen often sat on this chair to revere her with the rotundity of
a fine girl, watching her stepping with her slowly tender action
toward nearby and close him. He paid attention to her smile. It
looked like a flower in bud, and the petal was opening at the
early morning in the warm sunlight. Her plump wrist, healthy
looking with the seven golden rings were around it, and her
hands were pretty fingers of the obelisk-pen and soft.
Hoa Xuan always took off her hat, sat closing Nguyen on
the chair with her full smile and asked.
"How long did you wait for me?"
Nguyen had habit looked at his watch.
"One hour."
