Hanh-Phuong didn't pay attention to Bich-Lieu's actions and
what Bich-Lieu said about her. In her mind were full of the pictures at
three years ago on Mr. and Mrs. Van's party. She tried to figure of
Nguyen, a young man in an Air Force uniform with a military hair
type. He always smiled and talked with her of a few words. Seemed
in his smiling had an unsubmissive and the reflective on his life.
Sometimes his deep brown eyes were bright to looked at her, while
he was very gentleman holding her low back and right hand. He led
her following the music with the beautiful steps on the floor.

It was the first time she felt embarrassed and seemed he sent
tingles upon her hand, running slowly on over her body. It became
warm and made her body weakened, at the end, it was flash on her
eyes when Nguyen and her sight hit one of the other in the accident.
Sometimes Hanh-Phuong had caught on his eyes of the sorrow, it
effected to her, and she paid attention to him by a question: Why
Nguyen's smile was making her happy all the time, but sometimes his
sight eyes had sorrowful and touching a little in her heart? In a
moment at that time, Nguyen's sight eyes became deep of watery
and dim. It seemed he felt into the painful suffering that just crosses
his mind.

One time she met him on the ball family party and three years
without his news. Sometimes she remembered Nguyen in suddenly
of the empty evening, at the midnight stay late to study or walking
alone in the rain on the sidewalk in the late afternoon...Nguyen may
married and had children that Hanh-Phuong just thought of...

Bich-Lieu paid attention to Hanh-Phuong. She was surprised
about her young sister. Bich-Lieu didn't understand which was
effected to Hanh-Phuong and made her quiet in suddenly. What was
Hanh-Phuong thinking of?

Bich-Lieu shook her head.

"Hanh-Phuong... Hanh-Phuong, what are you thinking of?" Bich-
Lieu asked.
