Gudur – Renigunta – Tirupati section is an important Group “B” route. Important long
distance Superfast/Express trains are running on this section. Since Tirupati is a major
coaching terminal in Guntakal division. Tirupati is NSG2 category station. This station
located at the foothills of Tirumala, which is famous for Balaji temple, a pilgrim centre.
Devotees from all over India visit Tirumala. Annual income of this station is about
Rs.311Crores.
