I want to talk about the blood that Jesus shed, and I want to emphasize the fact that he did it for you and for me, but not because we deserve it. If a child does a good job in school, ,i;-e might buy him a bike or give him a reward. If you do a good job at work, your boss might give you a raise. If your wife cooks )our favorite meal and makes you happy, you will buy her some flowers if you're smart, or a ring or some other gift. However, those things are done because you know the person deserves it.
There is no possible way we could have paid for the blood
of Jesus. It's the world's greatest chemical fluid, there is nothing
more valuable. Furthermore, the Bible says, while we were yet
sinners, when it was perfectly clear that we didn't deserve it, he shed it for us.
