The Only True God
for spirit and breath.) But the Word of God and the Spirit of God cannot be separate divine persons. When God was manifested in the flesh, He was still one being, and He still possessed one name.
This truth is evident from Genesis 1:26-27. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him." The phrases "and God said," "created man in his own image," and "in the image of God created He him" are indicative of that God is only one. The fact that the Only One True God is shown by the creation of Adam as one being possessing only one personality, one image, and one name. Man has no excuse if he denies the essential the Only One True God, for God has created him in His own image.
In the beginning, God was not known by the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as if they repre sented three distinct persons. There was not a single time through the ages when God declared that there was other co-equal divine entities with Him. On the contrary. He has always been so jealous of His Only One True God that He has told us many times never
to compare Him with any others.
No one can continue in life if his word and
breath are taken out of him. Likewise, God is not God if His Word and Spirit are separated from Him. The Deity is one God who cannot be separated or disintegrated. A person does not change as he speaks his word, nor does he get short of words.
