The Invisible God and His Angels
According to Isaiah 37:16 and 44:24, God had no assistant during the six days of creation. Nev
ertheless, he apparently did not choose privacy while creating man; at least, it was no secret affair, for it seems that He did it in the presence of His angels. They are His witness that He created eve rything alone. Indeed, the phrase "God said" in Genesis 1 repeatedly indicates that He created everything by Himself. And the phrase "Let us make man after our own image" shows that God
counseled with Himself, thus signifying His su premacy over all things. Not one angel assisted God in His work of creation; therefore the design and perfect harmony of creation remains beyond their understanding. Instead, Ephesians 1:11 viv idly confirms that the Father has the ability to hold counsel with His own will: "Being predestinated ac cording to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will."
Let us further consider Genesis 3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as
