the King, the LORD of hosts (Isa.6:1-5).
In his vision, Isaiah saw only One God, not
two or three gods bearing human figures. And this God "seen" by both Isaiah and Ezekiel is sur rounded by angels and is King of Kings. The an gels do not give Him counsel; God simply uses them to execute His plans. For instance, the Lord
cleansed Isaiah by sending one of His angels to touch his lips with a live coal from the altar.
Just before sending Isaiah (the Lord knew beforehand that He would be sending Isaiah), God asked, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" (Isaiah 6:8). The question "Whom shall I send?" shows that the sender is one -only true God. And by saying, "Who will go for us?" God showed that He did it in the presence of His sur
rounding angels. They are always around Him, singing praises of His holiness and majesty day and night. God employed plurality here to indicate
