The city that never sleeps

Finally, there I was, completely enthralled by everything and everyone

amid the alluring streets of New York City. I caught myself
floundering about with suitable words to portray how I felt when I first

saw the city. Quite simply, I was already in love with New York City.

Out there on the perfectly frantic and bustling streets, I felt free.

Crossing the Hudson river and entering the suffocatingly crowded

station made me feel like I had stepped into a time warp that whisks

you from Earth to space in an instant. Living in America is a beautiful

opportunity; living in New York City is much more so.

Once I wobbled along those city streets and took my first breath of

city air, I, like everyone else, exclaimed to myself, “This is freedom!”.

The buildings displayed some of the most beautiful structures I'd ever

seen, appearing extremely tall and imposing. When I witnessed the

sunset behind the Empire State Building from one of the building's

highest points, it was utterly otherworldly, or more likely something I

             had never experienced.

As I strolled down city streets, I was overwhelmed by the number of

people walking and conversing in a variety of languages. People with
looks I had never seen before; far preferable to the appearances that

would be considered the local fashion in my hometown.
