What these changes could mean for our members

These legislative changes could have a significant impact on you, and we
mention this because at Numark we are always looking for ways to drive
value and improve efficiencies for our members. This development is a
promising step because allowing items to be assembled offsite by a third
party means you could benefit from reduced stock levels, more efficient
use of time, and streamlined operations.
This is because at PHOENIX, we have two automated medication assembly
centres, an original pack assembly centre which was established in 2017,
and a pouch-based assembly centre for patients on monitored dosage
systems that serve our own pharmacy estate.
The original pack assembly centre can lead to a 54% reduction in stock,
significantly streamlining inventory management and reducing overhead
costs. The facility utilises cutting-edge technology to ensure high
efficiency and accuracy in dispensing medications and assembles 54m
packs per year. While our pouch-based monitored dosage system averages
19.2 million pouches per year, serving an average of 31,000 patients per
month. These impressive capabilities underscore our commitment to
improving the efficiency and reliability of the dispensing process.
Why are we mentioning this? As part of future propositions, we are
exploring the opportunity of what a proposition to Numark members may
look like in the future and if it is something that pharmacies can see the
benefit from. Once the proposals by the government come into effect, our
advanced assembly centers could support you by significantly reducing
stock levels, cutting overhead costs, and improving the accuracy and
speed of medication delivery. For example, in the spoke-hub-spoke model,
label data would be sent to our central hub for assembly and then returned
to you for patient collection or delivery. This collaboration would allow
you to focus more on patient care, reduce the burden on your staff, and
ultimately provide a higher quality of service to your patients.

                          We need your feedback

We want to ensure that we are constantly driving the Numark proposition forward
by offering solutions that meet our members' needs, which is why we need your
views, to align with these hubs and spoke proposals.
