MDS Update - Ethypharm alternatives
Ethypharm have made the decision to end their MDS as of 30 June 2025.

While an MDS ending is not ideal, there are a number of potential alternatives that could be used in order to
maintain your practices profitability on Ropinirole XL Tablets.

The table below highlights the cost and profitability of these alternatives whether you prescribe generically
or by brand name.

Please note that the Accord product is in APM so the nett price shown below could change without prior
notice.

Also, please remember that there is a standard MDS cap on the Aspire Pharma scheme of 100 packs per
practice and member-specific rebate caps on the GSK scheme.

MDS Update - Chemidex products profitable if prescribed generically
Chemidex have taken the decision to remove the MDS discount on Uniroid HC Ointment and Suppositories
as of 30 June.

However, both the Ointment and Suppositories are still profitable options as long as they are prescribed
generically.

This is due to the DT price being based on Proctosedyl, with Uniroid HC having a lower cost for members.

Please ensure that any prescriptions for either Uniroid HC or Proctosedyl are changed to Cinchocaine/
Hydrocortisone, and that Uniroid HC is dispensed.
