One of the most important tasks
undertaken during the project was
patient engagement. The surgery put
out regular communications on social
media, via text messages, newsletters
and the website to keep patients
informed of progress and changes to
operations (there were at least three
different entrances to the practice in
12 months). Where local residents were
potentially affected, they were engaged
on a personal level, invited to meetings
with the contract team. As a result, not
a single complaint was received related
to the disruption of the works.
