KEYS
Our KEYS offering is not something that we
made too much noise about when launched
back in February 2020, but is something that
has really benefitted members over the last
almost 5 years.
When you are searching for a product on the
PSUK Portal or checking your invoices and
see the word KEYS in the product description,
this is what we call a KEYS product. KEYS
products are all generics and are only available
to key PHOENIX customers, which includes
PSUK members. Keys generics are purchased
in advance as we know our members volumes
and kept separately in the warehouse to other
generics available to other customers. This
means if there is ever a supply issue, PSUK
generic stock is protected and safe from
spikes in volume from other channels.
In addition to KEYS stock being protected, due
to us forecasting our volumes each month, the
price is also protected. This means that when
there is a supply issue and prices inevitably
increase, the price of the KEYS product will
remain stable for longer.
When launched, we trialled the KEYS offering
with just 50 generic products. Over the years
this number has grown and there are now over
570 KEYS products available to you, with new
products being added each month.
As there are over 570 generic products with our
KEYS offering, you don’t need to worry about
supply issues or price fluctuations on most of
your generic purchases through PHOENIX as
KEYS has you covered.

APM+, now called Generic Switch
APM+, which we have rebranded as Generic
Switch, was initially launched in March 2020.
We launched APM+, to help you with your
purchasing of MR/SR/XL generic products, as
well as brand generics and to maximise on any
off-patent opportunities. The system allows
you to control what products you receive, with
a focus on products that would not ordinarily
cascade and to ensure compliance to any off-
patents relevant to your practice.
The proposition was added to the PSUK
Portal, with members having the ability to
activate the deals relevant to their practice.
Once active, the system would substitute the
product ordered for a more cost-effective or
profitable choice.
When we launched APM+, there were 88 deals
available. Now there are over 150 Generic
Switch deal on the PSUK Portal that will help
your practice save time and money.
Following on from some feedback we received
for you on APM+, the name APM+ didn’t really
resonate with you, so in 2024 we branded
APM+ to Generic Switch.
In addition to the re-branding for APM+ to
Generic Switch (and MyDeals to Brand Switch),
we also added the ability for you to remove
your practice from any active deals on the
PSUK Portal. This gives you back full control of
any product substitutions you wish to make.
Linked to our Generic Switch proposition, we
do regularly include any off-patent and recent
generic product launches in our monthly
eNewsletter and Top Tips. If appropriate, we
will create new Generic Switch deals on the
PSUK Portal to help you maximise on the
profitability of these new generics before
they get added to Category M, as this usually
results in a reduction in their reimbursement
price and therefore their profitability.
