It feels like the last 12 months have
flown by faster than ever, and before
we know it, we’re at the end of 2023!
Once again, it has been a busy year for our
members and for us at PSUK, as we ensure
we’re evolving our proposition to best support
your practice, drive profitability, and enhance
efficiency.
From speaking to members over the past
12 months, it seems that now, more than
ever, the profitability of the dispensary is
under increasing pressure, compounded by
rising energy and staff costs (unlike other
industries, these cannot be passed on to
patients), and the ever-increasing challenge
of retaining and recruiting staff for the
practice and dispensary.
Market conditions have also had an impact
on our members. We’ve witnessed generic
pricing rapidly increasing from an all-time
low point, causing shortages and price
concessions. We’ve also seen changes in the
