Doctor Account Managerger Stephanie has seen the sector evolve
dramatically during her career and she’s
proud of the results she’s achieved along
the way.
“During my time in general practice, the
sector has changed significantly. When I
first started out, I was a dispenser and a
medicines manager it was easy to make
savings. Drugs like Plavix and Lipitor were
coming off patent and switching them to
generic made practices lots of money.
However, in the last 10 years I have been
a dispensary manager and as a part of
that role I have always strived to increase
profitability, and I have achieved great
success for the practices I have worked in
through what has been challenging times
within the sector and I have worked closely
with the partners to do this. Whilst ensuring
patients have always been at the forefront,
receiving the best quality of care. All at
the same time, offering a quality service
to the patients and supporting the teams I
have led by passing on my knowledge and
experience.”
Looking Ahead
So, what’s top of Stephanie’s to-do list in
her first few months?
“My priorities are to meet as many of my
members as possible and building a good
working relationship. Also, to establish
what their needs are and work together to
achieve them.”
She’s clear that her approach will be all
about understanding and collaboration.
“By understanding that each member’s
needs and circumstances are different
and working closely with them to achieve
results and success in any area they wish to
pursue.”

Stephanie knows from experience just how
much PSUK can offer its members.
“PSUK are customer focused and have a lot
to offer their members.
They work closely with members offering
support where they need it on an individual
basis. APM offers clients the lowest price on
generics for the whole month and they have
protected stock availability with their keys
products for dispensing doctors.
Also, when I was a dispensary manager the
boost tables saved me a lot of time and did
the hard work of working out which product
was most profitable.”
A people person at heart
At the centre of everything Stephanie does
is one simple motivation.
“Helping others achieve their best. Passing
on my knowledge and supporting them
where I can, to help them achieve their
goals.”
And when she’s not working with members,
you’ll likely find her spending quality time
outdoors or indulging her competitive side.
“In my spare time I love spending time with
family and friends as many do. Spending
time in the countryside, going for walks and
having a meal out in a country pub.
I also enjoy cooking and baking so if I’m not
in the kitchen, I’m in the gym trying to burn
off the calories from the night before.
I like sports and I’m a big F1 fan. I’ve been
fortunate enough to have been to a couple
of race weekends over the years and there’s
nothing like it, the atmosphere, the team
rivalry and speed.”
With her wealth of experience, practical
insight, and clear passion for supporting
others, Stephanie is already a fantastic
addition to the PSUK team and no doubt
a great support to members across the
country.
