Delivery Driver Induction Programme

Day 1 - Welcome your new colleague Completed

Familiarise with Branch:
Allow colleague time to:
• Meet their colleagues
• Tour of the branch and the facilities, to include Fire Exits,
Extinguishers and assembly point.
• Familiarise them self with the layout of the dispensary, retrieval area,
shop floor and colleague areas
• Show them where the branch diary is kept and other important
paperwork
• If applicable Shadow current Delivery Driver or Delivery Driver at
another local Rowlands
Spend time with your Pharmacy Manager to set expectations

Read:
• Delivery driver’s handbook
• Home delivery service- Driver Guidance
• Grey Fleet Drivers guide (if applicable)

Complete:
• DVLA Mandate
• Delivery drivers ID badge request
• Driver Acceptance Form
Familiarise yourself with the following documents:

• Bump Card (keep a copy with you)
• Chip & Signature Fuel cards
• Emergency contact details (keep a copy with you)
• Fleet Services Contact Numbers
• Tyre Checks
• Vehicle off Road Process & Form
• Weekly Vehicle Check Sheet

• Familiarise yourself with PSA – 10 key questions

Complete Health & Safety Induction Booklet
Familiarise yourself with contents of:

Read and sign:
• Branch General Risk assessment
