• Indicative prices – NHS reimbursement price
of the item. Written as brand, you will only
receive brand price. Written as generic,
you will only receive the Drug Tariff (DT) price,
even if you supply the brand.

• Drug Tariff listing –Under the VMPP, there
is DT information including the DT section
and DT reimbursement price

• Dental or Nurse formulary – the dm+d tells a
pharmacy if the item is allowed.

• Schedule 1 products – if the item on the
dm+d states it is a schedule 1 product,
it is not allowed on an NHS prescription.

• Disallowed Appliances- giving
pharmacies information on devices
that may have been prescribed on
handwritten prescriptions that will have by
passed the dm+d and prescribing systems
