Increased operating costs

From April 2025, the National Living Wage will rise to £12.21 per hour, increasing payroll
costs for pharmacies already working with tight margins. On top of this, employer National
Insurance contributions will go up from 13.8% to 15.0%, adding further financial pressure.

Funding strain

Pharmacy leaders are concerned that without increased funding, absorbing these rising
costs will be tough. With nearly a decade of real-term funding cuts, these added pressures
could mean some pharmacies may have to cut services, or even close their doors.

Staffing issues

Earning rebates with Brand Support deals

We’re excited to share that our Brand Support deals include 607 products from 52
manufacturers. By maximising the deals available, you can expect to receive an average
Brand Support rebate of £245 per month. And depending on your prescribing habits, this
could potentially increase to £403 monthly!

Last year alone, Numark distributed over £16 million in Brand Support rebates to our
members collectively. Additionally, by focusing on just five specific products like Butrans
10MCG, Duraphat 5000, Ursofalk Tabs 500MG, Ganfort Eye Drops, and Glucogel, you
