1. Pharmacy First Service - 1st April
New Pharmacy First caps introduced; these caps are
based on the monthly average of Pharmacy First (clinical
pathways) delivered during November 2024 to January 2025.

2. Annual complaints report – From 1st April
Pharmacy owners must send a copy of their annual
complaints report to the local NHS contract management
team as soon as reasonably practicable after the end of the
year to which the report relates.
This is a mandatory requirement for all pharmacy owners.

3. NMS: Submission of electronic reporting template –
from 1st April
Pharmacies can voluntary submit their completed NMS
electronic reporting template to the NHSBSA for Q4.

4. COVID-19 Spring vaccination campaign starts – 1st
April – 17th June
NHS England have confirmed the following patient cohorts
that will be eligible for vaccination in the Spring 2025
COVID-19 vaccination programme:

• Adults aged 75 years and over,
• Residents in a care home for older adults; and
• Individuals aged 6 months and over who are
immunosuppressed, as defined in COVID-19: the green
book, chapter 14a (Tables 3 and 4).

Northern Ireland

1. Carrier bag levy – 1st April – 28th April
Retailers are required to declare the number of carrier bags
they have given out at different price points and make the
associated payment to DAERA.
