How westcliffe pharmacy is

embracing technician training

to meet tomorrow’s demands

With the help of Numark and Buttercups Training,
Westcliffe Pharmacy is developing confident,
capable teams to meet the pressures of modern
pharmacy head-on.
When Westcliffe Pharmacy signed up for the fully
funded Pharmacy Technician Training Programme
(PTTP), they weren’t just looking to upskill staff they
were investing in the future of pharmacy.

“Services like CPE and Pathfinder prescribing have
pushed us to reimagine how our teams work,” says
Westcliffe Pharmacy. “We want our pharmacists
focusing on clinical skills, while our technicians grow
into confident decision-makers.”
This vision of collaborative practice, where each
team member plays a crucial role, has long guided
Westcliffe’s approach. Having supported staff
through early development, they’re now excited to
extend that journey through the PTTP.

The opportunity came through a call from Numark’s
team. “It was our Numark Account Manager, who first
told us. When we heard what was on offer, it was a
no-brainer.”
