Turning insight into action

               Following the visit, Orfhlaith received
               a tailored action plan and while
               it was comprehensive, it was also
               structured in a way that made
               progress feel manageable.
               “I’ll be honest I’m not the most
               organised person! So having
               everything laid out clearly, with
               direction on where to find resources
               and what to prioritise, was exactly
               what I needed. It was 23 pages long,
               which was overwhelming at first, but
               I’m getting there bit by bit.”

               The very next day, Orfhlaith and
               her team began tackling the
               recommendations head-on,
               starting with a full clear-out of the
               consultation room and store, and
               introducing a documented date-
               checking system for dispensary and
               shop stock.
               “The staff really got behind it. It’s been
               fun, but lots of hard work and it’s
               made us feel much more in control.”









                                                            Confidence for the future

                                                            While Orfhlaith is still working through
                                                            her action plan, the process has
                                                            already had a lasting impact not just
                                                            on compliance, but on mindset.
                                                            “We all want to do the right thing and
                                                            provide brilliant care, but it’s hard to
                                                            find time for everything. The Health
                                                            Check gave us a unique perspective
                                                            we’d never get unless we were going
                                                            through a formal inspection.”
                                                            “I’ve got great friends in the pharmacy
                                                            world who I rely on for advice, but
                                                            this was a completely different level
                                                            of detail. I’ll absolutely be booking
                                                            a follow-up next year and fingers
                                                            crossed, my action plan will only be
                                                            three pages long next time!”
