I have worked for PSUK for the last year, having
worked for the previous 20 years with many
pharmaceutical companies promoting their branded
products and working with both dispensing and non-
dispensing doctors across the Midlands and Wales.
My last 20 years working in pharma have seen many
changes. Over this time, there have been numerous
changes in the pharmaceutical industry involving
companies, product portfolios, and pipelines of
medicines.
In recent years, you may have noticed that many
branded and generic products are no longer
available. This is due to various reasons such as
the cost and availability of raw ingredients, the
cost of fuel, and overall manufacturing costs.
A contributing factor in recent years for
pharmaceutical companies has been VPAS
(The Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines
Pricing and Access). This is an agreement
