Becoming a yellow fever vaccination
centre (yfvc)
To offer the yellow fever vaccine, your pharmacy
must be registered as a Yellow Fever Vaccination
Centre (YFVC) with the National Travel Health
Network and Centre (NaTHNaC). The process
includes:
9 Applying for Registration – Submit an
application via the NaTHNaC website.
9 Completing the Training – A pharmacist must
complete an approved yellow fever vaccination
training course.
9 Meeting the Requirements – Your pharmacy
must have appropriate vaccine storage
facilities and meet infection control standards.
9 Receiving Certification – Once approved, your
pharmacy will be listed as an official YFVC,
allowing you to issue International Certificates
of Vaccination (ICVPs).
For Scotland, certification follows Public Health
Scotland (PHS) guidelines, requiring specific
training and adherence to designation conditions.
