The Numark

              podcast is back!

Following on from the first instalment of our brand-new podcast in April,
the Numark Podcast has returned with a powerful and insightful second
edition! Earlier this year, we tackled the evolving role of pharmacists,
the pressures facing community pharmacy, and the shifting healthcare
              landscape.

This time, hosted once again by Numark Chairman Professor Harry
McQuillan, the latest episode brings together three more influential voices
from across the sector to explore how pharmacy can adapt, thrive, and lead
              in a time of transformation.
Pharmacist Support CEO Danielle Hunt, Buttercups CEO Emma Seton
& Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Director of Strategic Delivery
Gemma Thomas sat down to dissect workforce development, wellbeing and
much more with another thought-provoking 50-minute chat.
Emma Seton touched on her recent Numark Magazine piece in which she
made a compelling case for workforce development. Her insights reflect a
growing recognition that pharmacy teams need not only clinical expertise
but also the confidence and adaptability to meet evolving patient needs.
Danielle Hunt expands on the conversation around the workforce,
highlighting the need to prioritise the wellbeing of staff at a time when
pharmacists are increasingly called upon to support the mental and
              physical wellbeing of their communities.

Gemma Thomas adds to the debate by providing further details of a
pioneering project on Aylesbury High Street in Buckinghamshire that is
transforming access to care. The initiative brings together multiple health
services under one roof, enabling walk-in access to a range of services
with a model centred around “relationships, not just referrals.”
The episode concludes with our very own Professor Harry McQuillan
summarising the key messages to take away from the discussion, including
the need for collaboration, adaptability and a renewed focus on workforce
wellbeing for the benefit of the future of community pharmacy.
