Out and about with

the Numark Chairman

Since the last magazine article following my travesls, one of
our main focus’ has been on our Numark Membership Advisory
Boards. This is where the Numark team and I, conduct a By Harry McQuillan
day with invited members to ensure we are delivering what
you need to make your pharmacy a success. It also allows
Numark to tailor our services specific to the country that you
are operating in and gives us a real insight into what each
different NHS system needs. I have set up an Advisory Board
in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and due to its size, two
in England, one for the North and one in the South.

To give everybody and idea of the topics we discuss, the latest
agenda has covered:

• The scope and remit of the Advisory Board
• Independent Prescribing – NHS and Private
• Spoke and Hub Assembly – Appetite and “what would need
to be true” for pharmacy owners to consider using it
• Numark’s 12 Principles for a new model of pharmacy practice
• MyPin developments
• How can Numark better support your pharmacy practice?

Here’s a picture of John Pignone, Sales Director at Numark, with
our England (South) Advisory Board members after our recent
meeting. I would also have had a picture of our Northern Ireland
Board, if I had remembered to take the photo.
