The Mines campus is compact and very walkable. Most of academic buildings
events and casual use. The central pedestrian avenue is the closed portion
of Maple Street between 14th and 19th streets. This area is brick paved

Buildings are sited to create courtyards of open spaces for structured

Not only does this pathway connect academic buildings, but it also links the southern campus housing to the Student Recreation Center and the Student Center creating a central pedestrian axis for the campus.
