The Easter Vigil 221

And thanks be to you, God known in a body,
who blessed as he lived,
who raised up our lives
to be gathered as one,
reaching out for the kingdom.
Born of Mary, he shares our life.
Eating with sinners, he welcomes us.
Guiding his children, he leads us.
Visiting the sick, he heals us.
Dying on the cross, he saves us.
Risen from the dead, he gives us new life.

Holy, holy, holy,
vulnerable God,
heaven and Earth are full of your glory.

Blessed is the one who comes in God’s name.

Prayer after communion

God of truth in love,
you gave us eyes and we have seen;
you gave us hands and we have touched.
Christ, our risen and intimate lover and brother,
we have taken you into our bodies
so that we may be transformed,
so that we may grow in faith and in love for you
as we meet you in each other.
AMEN
