To provide security and control of library resources, facilities like fire alarm system, fire
extinguishers, computers or IT equipment were requested and purchased for the library. Entrance
and Exit areas are also provided as well as monitoring logbooks in all areas of the library.
Library Guidelines for the “new normal” was also crafted and strictly implemented during
face-to-face. IATF health protocols are strictly observed inside the library premises for the safety
of both library staff and library users. Provision of alcohol in the designated areas of the library,
wash area, temperature check facility, isolation/waiting area, social distancing, posted reminders
on health protocols, wearing of face mask, provision of quarantine areas for books and other
materials returned in the different sections of the library.
▪ Technology utilization in library operations such as:
✓ Integrated library system
Platonixz 2.0 was acquired by the library to be used as Integrated Library
Information System. There are eight menu commands, namely: Files, Search,
Circulation, Acquisition, Inventory, Reports, Settings, Venue and Equipment
Reservation, and Attendance.
✓ Access to electronic collections (e.g. e-books, e-journals, internet access)
One of the services offered by the library is internet access and through this
service, students, faculty and other clientele can have access to available e-books and
e-journals. The library has acquired e-books and e-journals from EBSCOHost to
address the information needs of students remotely. The library has also a collection
of downloaded e-books and e-journals from open access resources to supplement
references for the different programs offered by the institution.
✓ Institutional repositories
As a recipient of publications from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and
Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and
Development (PCAARRD), the library provided a separate area for their collections.
These were also organized for easy access and retrieval.

▪ Evidences/manifestations that the environment in the library is conducive
to learning.
The library is conducive to learning because it is well-lighted and well-ventilated.
Additional lightings were installed in the reading area and air coolers were requested to be
used in the reading area aside from the wall fans and stand fans already available.
